I-130 and reentry to the USA….!!!.?

Ok, this’s what’s going on, my girlfriend and I got married (she’s a USA citizen ) and we’re thinking about filling all the documents for my Green Card. I came to this country with a B1/B2 visa, I still have my I-94 in my hands but last year I went to chicago and I got robbed and they took my ORIGINAL passport which had my visa attached in there, I called my CostaRican embassy right away and they issued a new passport, but this passport is NOT a biometric passport, is just a handwritten passport ( they’re called salvo-conducto ), now, I’m no sure if he USCIS will require me a biometric passport for the interview’s day, someone told me once; I’ll need to fill out an I-130 while I’m under the process so I can travel to CostaRica and request a biometric passport, basically my question is, can I show the USCIS that non-biometric passport???? or do I need to travel to CostaRica using the I-130 while I’m in the process of getting my Green card in order to get a biometric passport b4 the interview’s day????….This’s really serious, Don’t waste ur time with non sense answers…….have a good day..!!!
George L>>> I understand that for sure, but like I said, I lost my original passport which had my USA b1/b2 visa attached. But sounds cool then if I dont have to go back there to get a biometric passport, anyway like u said, the fingerprints will match for sure lol

I don’t think you really need a biometric passport for the interview. I don’t see why you would, unless there’s some doubt as to your actual identity and they will run your fingerprints. Otherwise though, they’ll have a record of your original entry in their datasystem. Your prints should match against the ones taken for the visa and taken when youk entered the US. Plus, there would be a photo of you from your visa application and your entry. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem confirming you are who you say you are.
